BRENTWOOD, TN – The Tennessee Soccer Club USL League Two team faced the top team in the South Central Conference and traded chances, but it was Asheville City SCwho was able to break through on the scoreboard, winning 3-0 Friday night at Ravenwood High School Stadium.
Asheville City took the lead in the 3rd minute as forward Lucas Gonzalez found the bottom corner just off the post and in, beating TSC 2 goalkeeper Michael Sibley for a 1-0 advantage.
The visitors made it 2-0 in the 23rd minute when Quentin Huerman found a loose ball in the TSC 2 penalty area and deposited it home.
TSC 2 had their chances in the first half with several close calls with whipped balls across the face of goal, but just could not find the runner.
Asheville City added one more on the brink of halftime on a counter of a TSC 2 corner kick. Finn Ballard McBride was on the end and slotted it home for the 3-0 lead.
The home team had a great chance to chip into the deficit in the 64th minute with a semi-breakaway and the ensuing corner kick, but it was not to be.
TSC 2 returns to action Saturday, June 25th traveling to Knoxville, TN to take on One Knoxville SC at the University of Tennessee kicking off at 7:30 pm ET.

Tennessee Soccer Club (TSC) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization based in Williamson County and the surrounding Greater Nashville area. TSC's Mission is "to promote a love for soccer by developing excellence in the game for our players and coaches to positively impact our member families and communities.”
Since 2012, TSC has been the premier youth soccer club in the state of Tennessee and currently serves over 3,500 players participating in recreational, competitive and/or supplemental soccer programs across four locations: TSC Murfreesboro, TSC Nashville, TSC Sumner and TSC Williamson. TSC teams compete locally, regionally, and nationally in leagues such as the Tennessee Youth Soccer League, USYS National League and Mid South Conference, and the Elite Clubs National League. TSC also fields two U23 pre-professional teams competing in USL W League (women’s) and USL League Two (men’s). TSC has won multiple state and national championships in recent years through competition in these leagues.
